At least once a day I will come across a student's artwork that just puts a big smile on my face.
Today it was this one -
The students were learning about portraits (a portrait is a picture of a person) and were asked to draw a portrait of someone that was special to them. I can't wait to ask who this is a portrait of!

It is unbelievable to me that have the school year is over! We have done many creative things in the Art Room. Take a look at the video below for highlights of all the projects that we've done so far this year.
I look forward to showing off all the creative things to come the remainder of the year! Many grades will be working with portraits. Some will be using clay (oh what fun!). One grade will be working on an interesting weaving project. And Lots More!
Be sure to check our Artsonia Gallery and leave a comment for our young artists. (Parents if you are not able to get into your parent account - send me an email and I will help you get that going)
I'm very excited to be again teaching at Roosevelt this year! The students and I have such fun, creative classes together. I love the enthusiasm of our Roosevelt Bears!
