I'm excited to say that we are participating in a very fun project connecting our students with other students across the country. The Kindergarten students have drawn monsters as part of our lesson on lines. I've taken their drawings and shared them with a high school art teacher in Apex, NC. Ian Sands and another art teacher in his High School are taking our Kindergarten Monsters and bringing them to life. The ceramics teacher is having her students create clay sculptures based on our Kindergarten drawings (Mrs. Martin's class this semester and Mrs. Ballard's class next semester). After the clay monsters are complete, Mr. Sands will have his computer art class design packaging for the monster. Eventually the clay monsters in their package will be shipped back to our Kindergarten students!

Stay tuned for updates on this fun project!
I'm very excited to be again teaching at Roosevelt this year! The students and I have such fun, creative classes together. I love the enthusiasm of our Roosevelt Bears!
