After reading the book Action Jackson, 1st grade students created paintings like Jackson Pollock's. Instead of throwing the paint like he did, we used marbles in a box. Watch the two short videos below to see it in "action"!
During another class, we used one of our marble paintings to create a something that could have belonged to Jackson Pollock. See a couple examples below.
Jackson Pollock's House by Logan
Jackson Pollock's Flower by Autumn
Jackson Pollock's Hippo by Carter
Jackson Pollock's Lion by Elizabeth
Washington has been my "Home" school for many years now. I enjoy teaching all the different students who make up this diverse school. I have taught a multitude of lessons in this building and have learned just as much from all of the students.
