Many Moline elementary students participated in the worldwide project - Pinwheels for Peace
Students made a paper pinwheel that was decorated in many ways. Each pinwheel had a message of peace, respect, or other kind words or pictures on it.
On Friday, September 21, International Peace Day the pinwheels are placed on the grounds of the school to whirl around all day spreading the messages of Peace.
Friday was a raining day so Washington waited until today to put out their Pinwheels. It was a beautiful breezy day for our pinwheels to spin!

Washington has been my "Home" school for many years now. I enjoy teaching all the different students who make up this diverse school. I have taught a multitude of lessons in this building and have learned just as much from all of the students.
